What is Starbucks?
The first Starbucks was opened in Seattle, Washington, on March 31, 1971 and has always strives to keep there American style atmosphere in all there coffee
shops. The company got the name Starbucks from the well known character, the chief mate in the book Moby-Dick: Starbuck.
Now with over 16,700 Starbucks stores in more than 50 countries, Starbucks is a very popular and sort after break for visitors wither it be for casual shoppers or people going to or from work, Starbucks caters for a huge variety of people and sells an array of hot or cold drinks along with cakes and sandwiches and snacks.
The Design
Starbucks always demand that each store is Individual. There designers look at each store individually to ensure that it looks distinctively local. This represents a new level of coffeehouse comfort, meaning that no two Starbucks will ever be entirely the same.
That said coffeehouses reflect the merchant trading roots of there first store in Seattle’s historic Pike Place Market with worn wood, Light stained red brickwork, concrete or tiled floors, metal stools and factory-inspired lighting. Large community tables, club chairs and wooden blinds evoke a turn-of-the-last-century feeling.
Result
By using our Birkdale Slips this new shop keeps up with the traditional styling of Starbucks but allows that unique look that keeps in with the surrounding area and that southern flare.
